Legal notice
Information required by article 6-III of the French law of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN).
This website is published by SAS Abbaye Saint-Pierre and concerns its own activity only. Other organisations operate on the same estate under their own names, with their own websites and their own legal notices: the farm (SCEA Abbaye Saint Pierre de Lacour), the Conservatoire du Patrimoine des Abbayes, and the association cultuelle Abbatia Sancti Petri de Curte. See estate organisations.
Abbaye Saint-Pierre is a research setting and a place of hospitality. It is not a place of care. It is not a clinic, a hospital, a psychiatric establishment, a medico-social establishment or a convalescent home, and it holds no authorisation to be any of them.
No medical, nursing or therapeutic care is provided; no diagnosis or assessment is made; nothing here involves medication; and there is no emergency or overnight clinical cover. Anyone staying here keeps their own treating professionals and their own decisions. A stay cannot in any circumstances replace the follow-up provided by a doctor.
Research into non-clinical environments and activities is described on the Wellbeing Innovation Centre page. Any study involving clinical care is developed with the responsible healthcare and research partners, under their clinical and ethical governance.
The texts and photographs on this site belong to SAS Abbaye Saint-Pierre unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced without permission.
Historical images are reproduced from public-domain sources and credited where they appear: the Monasticon Gallicanum engraving from the Bibliothèque nationale de France; the portrait of Jean Mabillon from the Musée Carnavalet (CC0); the title page of De re diplomatica from the Bibliothèque municipale de Reims.
The engraved plates illustrating the research strands are likewise public domain or released under Creative Commons Zero, each credited in its caption with its work, date and holding institution. One carries an attribution condition on the digital reproduction rather than on the work: the plate Agriculture, Labourage from the Encyclopédie (1762) is reproduced from a scan made available by the Bibliothèque de l’Institut de France under a Creative Commons Attribution licence.
